To my U.S. SVGL friends, have a lovely holiday and hopefully some off-work time! Take Michael Abbott's advice: Bring the Wii home along with New Super Mario Bros. Wii and play it with your cousins and young ones. You won't be sorry.
SVGL will be on hiatus until next week. If you're bored over the holiday, there's probably some fun stuff to do at SVGL -- revisit the archives, vote in the latest poll, or check results of past polls, too. Use the ShoutMix chat in the right hand sidebar to see who else is hanging around the computer over the holiday and make some new friends or something!
Thanksgiving is a time for quality time with family (here is a post about my family). It's also often a time where people go stir crazy and feel trapped in the family homestead. That's why, two Thanksgivings ago (whoa time flies), I recommended you Guest House, this fantastic, intriguing escape-the-room game -- revisit it or check it out for the first time! When nursing your turkey coma, sneak off and give it a try.
What will you be playing over the weekend? I honestly doubt I'll be playing anything -- you might imagine that some of the time, playing video games is the last thing I want to do with my not-work time!

I will be among people I don't know very well, and I don't particularly would like to get to know them. So I'll be playing the try to be as invisible as possible game.
For some reason I was motivated to finally play System Shock 2, although I feel like trying to beat it with a laptop trackpad might be a fool's errand.
Happy Thanksgiving Leigh!
That was sweet... I sense a happy SVGL lately and it's awesome.
I think your NSMBWii suggestion was good. My nephews are sure to destroy me.
Happy Turkeyday 09 everyone.
Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Leigh!
I've got New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Wii Sports Resort ready to go. When I have alone time, I'm going to pop in Professor Layton as often as possible.
Enjoy the week off!
Ditto.
=)
Thanks for the Guest House suggestion, Leigh. Interesting game, hadn't played point and click in a long time. Happy Thanksgiving.
I think bringing NSMBWii home is more likely to destroy relationships than foster smiles; unless unnaturally easy-going, that game is like an anger-making machine.
But by now it's too late. I'm sorry I couldn't warn you in time! With any luck you will be able to mend those broken bridges over the years.
I love when my husband and i pass time together specially when we are with all the family celebrating the thanksgiving. Is sure this year we´ll be happy all of us together and enjoying. But i am thankful because my husband buy viagra and he has more self-steem.I am really happy.
