SVGDL Is Live!

Thanks to nine brave pioneers, I was able to launch my crazy idea, Sexy Videogame Developerland, just a moment ago. I suppose you could say the site's "in beta," because obviously it requires interest from the community and participation from devs to continue going -- but my heartiest thanks to the early adopters who supported the concept enough to take a stab at it.

Tell your friends, blog it, linklog it, do your thing, knowledge is power!

Check it out so far, and leave comments with what you think! Hopefully, readers will get a kick out of getting even a small peek at the human side of the biz -- and hopefully, the broad spectrum of folks we've got participating will help encourage more industry people to send those submissions in. Finally, the site has a FAQ for the purpose of question-answering and submission guidelines.

Awesome! I'm stoked you got this up so quickly and I'm on my way to check it out right now.

And I'm back, and I dig it. I agree with your decision too disable comments. Good call.

I'm interested to see how this grows, I'll definitely be linking to it.

Checked it out and seems fun. My question is how are you going to gauge interest without comments? Are you just using page views for that?

It's not really important and you don't have to answer (obviously), but it's puzzling me right now...

Sweet. Some of them are kind of awkward, and some didn't seem to really mesh with it too well, but the idea is great and I enjoyed reading all of the profiles.

I hope this proliferates :-D

I love it, nice to see some personalities of the industry displayed like that. There're some real characters working on games these days; I wish the site all success.

Also, Yotsuba yay!

Haha! Just finished checking it out. Looks pretty nice so far. Hopefully more developers jump on this: it really does help humanize the industry, if the current posts are any indication. =)

Yotsuba&! FTW!

That is all.

Great idea, congratulations on getting it up.

Navigation may prove picklin' in the future, but the entries on the right are easy enough.

I hope to see tons more names soon. We need Reggie to submit his list (sorry, that's played out...).
