Election Fever

Big Boss	88 (41%)
Albert Wesker	15 (7%)
Wallace Breen	21 (10%)
Bowser Koopa	50 (23%)
Edea Kramer	36 (17%)

There are only two days left to vote in the SVGL Caucus (which has magically become the SVGL Primary), and Big Boss is showing some very impressive momentum after an initial stumble in the polls behind early front-runner Bowser Koopa. I think it's safe to say that peaceful Animal Crossing citizens have voted their disapproval of Bowser's dirty campaign tactics, which have consisted largely of enormous black torpedoes with scary faces on them. On the other hand, it appears Big Boss' military background has helped him to grab support from The Forest of Illusion and Star Road, territories Bowser has historically had no difficulty dominating. Political analysts speculate that the majority of Bowser supporters are a small but steadfast majority of Goombas.

Big Boss' forward push could see some roadblocks, however, with the King of All Cosmos coming out earlier this week to express his concerns that the stealth candidate doesn't stand out enough. Sonic, Ratchet, Impossamole and a veritable legion of Pokemon representing the Small Furry Animals Coalition staged a vocal protest today to air their concerns about well-publicized allegations concerning Big Boss' past dietary record. And grassroots activist groups continue to demand explanations concerning an alleged "Outer Heaven Incident," which the Koopa party is sure to employ against the Boss camp.

Many campaign analysts have suggested that Bowser now finds himself "on a precarious bridge over a roiling firepit, with his enemy fast approaching the giant button," but a Chain Chomp at the most recent Koopa event told us he expects an 11th-hour rally.
