News Flash: Samus Still Awesome

Just posted up a boatload of Metroid Prime 3 screenshots over at Destructoid, and in the spirit of community, I added some of my very own Metroid haiku. --Alright, screw community spirit-- I posted those because if I were just a little bit more... let's say "creative", authorities might forcibly isolate me from society for its own good, and I can't restrain occasional dysfunctional psychic spew. But if you want to make haiku too, or if you just want to look at Samus, check it out. (Click it, Dave, you know you want to.)

If you're interested in an actual read, though, there's also this interview from Play with the Retro Studios guys, which'll probably address whatever it is you've been wondering about the game. I want to know if Samus is going to talk, though.

I'm actually only a very casual Metroid fan-- I don't think I've played a Metroid game since the 16-bit era. Not because of intentional exclusion, but I just kinda haven't. I'll definitely put Corruption on the wishlist, though, only because my Wii looks so sad gathering dust.

Oh, I have seen! I THINK they've profiled him on Destructoid before, but I'm not 100%-- I'll ask. Thank you for the tip! And for the link you gave me too, by the way. Big ups!

You've missed out. Metroid Prime 1 and 2 were among the best games on the Gamecube. Huge worlds, gorgeous destroyed alien temples, cool guns and baddies and great bosses. Plus scary bits where the lights go out and you haven't got the infrared visor yet!
